Oceans Under Siege: NRDC tries to legitmize marine spatial planning as combating “ocean sprawl”. MSP IS ocean sprawl!

kevinhearnDear EarthTalk: I recently heard the term “ocean sprawl,” which was a new one on me. We all know “sprawl” as it manifests itself above sea level. But in the oceans? Can you enlighten? – Bill Chadwick, Nantucket, MA  Read more@infozine  13:57

  1. So here we go. As I see this, what we are looking at is another opportunity for more government corruption through kickbacks to politicians and a total disregard for what is right and what makes the most sense.

“Marine planning places sound science and the best available information at the heart of decision-making and brings federal, state, tribal and other partners together to cooperatively develop coastal and marine spatial plans,”

Sound science? What a joke. Can someone point put to me when the last time sound science was actually used to do what’s right when the ocean is involved?

This will be yet another power grab by those who are politically connected and who have the deepest pockets to wrestle away yet another segment of America from “WE THE PEOPLE”. Keep your eyes on this one folks.

Yeah that’s right I won’t peek, the Check’s in the Mail, and I won’t in your Mouth. H.R.3534 “The Clear Act” couldn’t get passed. So Obama came up with his own Executive Order, one Man’s decision “The Obama Ocean Policy”. This Law effectively takes over OUR COMMON PROPERTY the Oceans, Rivers, Lakes, and other forms of Water. Included with the Water is the Air Space above and Resources below. The most disturbing part is it controls OUR most important Resource “WATER”.
All of these Areas are being or have been gridded out for Lease for various Money making uses Oil, Gas, Wind Farms, Mining, Aquaculture, Etc… Look how well Dr. Lubchenco’s Sectors and Catch Shares worked out. Also check out how Dr. Lubchenco’s GREEN lighting of the use of “COREXIT” with BP’s Gulf Spill went. Out of sight out of MIND. Compliments of “The Most DANGEROUS WOMAN on the PLANET”.
So how do you feel about being robbed? Trust me I’m from the GOVERNMENT.
Don’t forget about the U,N,’s “LOST” it’s part of the plan. It takes away OUR SOVEREIGNTY of these Areas all inclusive especially OUR most important Resource “WATER”.

    • As I said, we best keep our eye on this situation. And GET INFORMED ON WHERE OUR POLITICIANS STAND ON THESE IMPORTANT ISSUES.

Allowing these hideous individuals to continue to trample our GOD GIVEN RIGHTS HAS TO STOP…..BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!

The era of the well crafted sound bite has reached its zenith with NOAA’s “Marine planning places sound science and the best available information at the heart of decision-making and brings federal, state, tribal and other partners together to cooperatively develop coastal and marine spatial plans.” Sadly, “best available” is as amorphous and undefined as the network of groups and individuals involved in the National Ocean Policy Planning effort in New England. Spend a few hours researching on the Internet. Search for organizations like SeaPlan (formerly the Massachusetts Ocean Partnership), the Northeast Ocean Data Portal, NROC, Meridian Institute, the Consensus Building Institute, the Udall Foundation, Coastal America Partnership, Deepwater Wind, RI OSAMP, the Mass Ocean Management Plan, the Coastal Community Advocates, etc. and ask yourself WHO is involved and HOW? WHO are the people that comprise these organizations? Where does the money come from? Research these people on Sunlight.org and see the politicians involved and the corporate lobbying going on and ask yourself is this about ocean health or something else? Watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiXGcEpI-sI and ask yourself how the organizations you researched and the “public private partnerships” that NOAA references fit together. I promise that you will be surprised at what you find.

Thank you Tom, for shedding some smart light on this rather dark and sinister NOPC/OIL/WIND “ocean forntier” scam.
