Global powers sign declaration on sustainable fishing

ATHENS) – Officials from some of the world’s top fishing powers signed a declaration in Greece on Friday to promote sustainable management of fish stocks.     Better yet we can replenish and restore ocean fish pastures. In 2012 the first large scale ocean salmon pasture restoration was completed. Last fall the largest catch of salmon in all of history was caught in Alaska. Fish boffins now project the largest catch of Sockeye salmon in all history is due to arrive in the Fraser River of British Columbia, instead of 2 million fish like last year 72 million are on their way.
