What else would you say about it? It definitely wasn’t lobster pot warp; ” which required additional dive resources and heavy duty equipment for removal.” (quoted from CG news release)
I’m sure that someone was quick to claim that it was lobster lines that trapped them as surely as if they were a whale, etc., etc., ad nauseam… It’s too easy to pollute peoples’ minds with claims like this, that all too often never get withdrawn or corrected.

Now the second shoe drops… I hope that the CG investigation can determine how in the hell they got a heavy cable wrapped around their wheel. Somehow they seem to have determined that; “further analysis revealed it was a cable from Northeast Gateway’s offshore facility” (quoted from CG news release)
It’s more than likely that it wasn’t just floating around waiting to ensnare some poor unsuspecting boat? (or was it ;-} )

Two Mothballed LNG Terminals left unattended. What a waste of good bottom. Floating hazards who is at fault?
Have at it with a Hacksaw any Current in that Cable?
