Pew Charitable Trusts promoting illegal fishing crackdown

In New England, one of the U.S.’s most active fishing areas, between 12 and 24 percent of the total catch of species such as cod, flounder and haddock was taken illegal in 2010, according to a study in the journal Marine Policy. Ben Martens, executive director of the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association, said Pew’s project could potentially be a “way to use technology to try and deal with an issue that we have been having a hard time figuring out.” WTF?  photo credit  Read the rest here 11:44

OK the quote above from the article comes from a 2010 paper sponsored by Lenfest (Pew’s policy arm) and was written by two academic economists, Dennis M. King from U. of Maryland and John G. Sutinen from U.R.I.
    The paper is called:
“Rational noncompliance and the liquidation of Northeast
    groundfish resources”

    ATTENTION!!!
I challenge any of you to provide proof regarding the statement:

“In New England, one of the U.S.’s most active fishing areas, between 12 and 24 percent of the total catch of species such as cod, flounder and haddock was taken illegal in 2010, according to a study in the journal Marine Policy.”

It’s gotten to the point that you not only twist any truth in these matters to the point where you are nothing but “God Damn” liars, in plain English! At some point you must provide the documentation to substantiate these statements, which you have not done to date!

The newspapers that continually publish these LIES without at least trying to verify their accuracy are nothing but pawns in the pockets of the ENGO’s commercial industry, & are publishing pap that is not even befitting a scandal rag!.

What is amazing is that many of these same papers & outlets are sitting there wondering why their circulation figures are dropping into the toilet, while on-line blogs are increasing their readership daily. Perhaps it’s because what little you are now publishing, belongs in that same toilet.
