“In our minds,” he said, “fish buyers, fishermen in the sardine industry … we get a quota and it keeps getting reduced. We don’t think NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) does a very good job doing their science. In fact, we use airplanes to see our fish. “We may not get a July 1 season this year,” he explained, “because they say there’s no fish in the ocean. So, we happened to be down here buying live crab from the local guys, here, and they’ve been telling me ‘we’re seeing sardines.’ I’m saying ‘no you aren’t.
