Mobile clean-up opportunity presented to Shell as alternative to dispersants

As the clock ticks down to the final decision of the Canada Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (NSOPB) on Shell Canada’s proposed drilling program in the Shelburne Basin, the calls are getting louder from the fishing industry and communities along Nova Scotia’s south shore for regulators to put some environmental teeth in the company’s emergency response plan in the event of an oil spill on the southwestern Scotian Shelf.
