F/V Ocean One breaks from anchor, drifts into Manasquan River railroad bridge

l_img_2846A commercial fishing boat anchored in a Manasquan River cove drifted into a NJ Transit railroad bridge this morning. The bridge spans the Manasquan River between Point Pleasant Beach and Brielle and carries train traffic along the North Jersey Coast Line. The unoccupied vessel, which has reportedly been anchored in a nearby cove for about two weeks, was towed to commercial docks by the U.S. Coast Guard, according to Jerry Meaney, a local first responder who posted a video of the scene.
