Two federal disaster relief funding bills filed to aid California crab and salmon fishing industry

U.S. Reps. Jackie Speier and Jared Huffman are throwing fishermen a lifeline. They introduced two legislative bills that aim to help people working in the crab and salmon fishing industries by appropriating $140 million in federal disaster relief funding. This follows several difficult fishing seasons that severely affected livelihoods throughout California.
