Marine Stewardship Council Under Scrutiny Over Bycatch

On Thursday, a coalition of environmental groups accused the world’s largest certification agency for sustainably sourced seafood of “allowing fisheries with widely unacceptable impacts to be certified.” The coalition, which included Greenpeace and the Environmental Justice Foundation, said that the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) urgently needs to improve its Fisheries Standard, a document that specifies which fisheries may be deemed sustainable,,, >click here to read< 09:22

    Good! Maybe they’ll have a mutually annihilating war (of words)! These fishing-hostile profitable “non-profits”, feeding off of the domestic small boat fishing industry, are Murphy-Game scams anyway! They harvest fees (in the case of Conservation Law Foundation), grants from government funds and “Charitable Foundations”, and rake donations from unsuspecting wealthy mean-wellers. This is accomplished through anti-fishing media marketing campaigns wielding foreboding, but thoroughly bogus, “scientific reports” of ocean species extinction; then promising to halt fishing in order to save that particular endangered-species-of-the-month! (“Oh Yes, and just click on the Donate Button, please”)—While their coffers hold more cash than God’s!

    The “Maritime Executive”, where this article on MSC originates, will not post any of the comment below—tried three times and they take it down each time! I wonder why?
