Coast Guard searching for fishing vessel in distress off Barnegat, NJ

The Coast Guard is searching for a fishing vessel in distress approximately 40-miles off the coast of Barnegat, New Jersey, Thursday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads in Portsmouth, Virginia, received an emergency position-indicating radio beacon (EPIRB) alert for the Queen Ann’s Revenge, a 46-foot fishing boat, at 1:20 a.m., while watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay were notified by fishermen of a distress call over VHF radio shortly after the EPIRB alert. >click to read< 10:45

Coast Guard Responds to Fishing Vessel in distress off South Carolina coast

USCGThe Coast Guard responded to a vessel taking on water Saturday, 48 miles southeast of Folly Beach, South Carolina. No injuries were reported, and the vessel did not sink. Watchstanders in the Coast Guard Sector Charleston command center received a report of the situation at 4:10 a.m., from the captain of the 37-foot commercial fishing vessel.  Read the rest here 17:26
