Coast Guard medevacs crewmember from fishing vessel near Venice, La.

The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from a fishing vessel Wednesday near Venice, Louisiana. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call on Channel 16 at 5:13 p.m. from the fishing vessel F/V Sea Charger requesting a medevac for a crewmember aboard who was experiencing stroke-like symptoms. Sector New Orleans watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Station Venice Response Boat – Medium crew to respond. A Coast Guard Cutter Tigershark boat crew also diverted to assist. The boat crews arrived on scene and embarked the man onto the RB-M which then transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel at Coast Guard Station Venice. The man was taken to Ochsner Medical Center West Bank where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

The Coast Guard medevaced a 45-year-old man approximately 180 miles south of Pensacola, Florida, Monday. Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a call at 10:26 a.m. from a good Samaritan vessel reporting that the crew of the 70-foot fishing vessel F/V Kim Nhi was requesting a medevac for a crewmember reportedly experiencing a medical emergency. Coast Guard medevacs crewmember from vessel near, Kodiak, Alaska

A Coast Guard aircrew medevaced a mariner Sunday near Kodiak, Alaska. A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew from Air Station Kodiak hoisted and transported the injured man from the 252-foot fishing vessel, F/V American Triumph, to awaiting Emergency Services Personnel at the air station. Coast Guard Sector Anchorage watchstanders received the initial request for the medevac from a crewmember aboard the vessel at 10:45 a.m., reporting that a crewmember was experiencing potential heart attack-like symptoms. >click to read< 14:00

The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember Monday from a commercial fishing vessel 21 miles offshore Morgan City, Louisiana. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a notification at 7:46 p.m. from the commercial fishing vessel F/V GP Amelia of a crewmember suffering from abdominal pain. Watchstanders diverted a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60 Jayhawk aircrew to assist. The helicopter crew arrived on scene, hoisted the crewmember, and transferred them to University Medical Center in New Orleans. Coast Guard medevacs crewmember from fishing vessel near Port Fourchon, La.

The Coast Guard medevaced an injured 48-year-old male from a fishing vessel Saturday approximately 15 miles south of Port Fourchon, Louisiana.  Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders were notified at 9:36 a.m. by personnel aboard the F/V Challenger that a crewmember sustained severe injuries to the hand. Watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Station Grand Isle 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew to assist. In 4-to-6-foot seas, the boatcrew arrived on scene, provided immediate care to the injured crewmember, and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel at the Nerby Collins Commercial Fishing Marina in Port Fourchon. The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from a fishing vessel Thursday near Grand Isle, Louisiana. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a report over VHF-FM Channel 16 at approximately 1:15 a.m. from the 105-foot fishing vessel, F/V Bossman, of a crewmember who was experiencing chest pains and difficulty breathing.
