Coast Guard rescues 3 from commercial fishing vessel fire near Pascagoula, Mississippi

The Coast Guard rescued three people from a commercial fishing vessel on fire offshore Pascagoula, Mississippi, Thursday. All three people aboard F/V Lucky Angel were returned to shore safely. One person was transported to Singing River Hospital in stable condition after being evaluated by EMS. Watch standers at the Eighth Coast Guard District received a report around 10:30 p.m. from one of the crew members aboard the Lucky Angel that the vessel was on fire approximately 10 nautical miles south of Pascagoula Channel. >click to read< 14:08

Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a report from the owner of a 74-foot commercial shrimping vessel that three fishermen were in need of assistance after their vessel was struck by a possible tornado. Coast Guard rescues 3 after fishing vessel sinks off Myrtle Beach

Coast Guard crews rescued three fishermen Friday after their fishing vessel sank 45 miles east of Myrtle Beach. The fishermen reported their 33-foot fishing vessel, Aunt T, was sinking and had to abandon ship into their life raft.Coast Guard Sector Charleston Command Center watchstanders were notified by an emergency position indicating radio beacon activation and later connected via satellite phone with one of the fishermen stating the situation at 12 a.m. A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew launched and hoisted the fisherman from their life raft at approximately 1:19 a.m. They were taken to Myrtle Beach International Airport where EMS was waiting. >click to read<08:45

The fishing vessel Richie Rich is partially submerged 12 miles southwest of Point Au Fer in the Gulf of Mexico, Aug. 31, 2015MORGAN CITY, La. – The Coast Guard rescued three individuals from a 75-foot fishing vessel that sank approximately 12 miles southwest of Point Au Fer in the Gulf of Mexico, Monday. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders were notified by a passing helicopter of a fishing vessel, F/V Richie Rich, sinking with two life-rafts in the water. Watchstanders launched a Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Morgan City 29-foot response boat crew and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans.
