U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew, D-2nd, joined Alaskan Rep. Don Young, a Republican, to introduce a bill reauthorizing the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery and Conservation Management Act on Thursday. But the bill would make changes to the law that some environmentalists fear may result in taking more fish than is sustainable. Among other things, the reauthorization would change how fishery councils determine fishery stock rebuilding timeframes, giving the public a greater role in the development of science and fishery management plans. The New England groundfish debacle (Part III): who or what is at fault? Nils E. Stolpe/FishNet
NILS STOLPE: The New England groundfish debacle (Part IV): Is cutting back harvest really the answer?

I’d like to make a proposal that no Ocean Industrialization should significantly change the oceans bottom nor cause changes to it’s natural state!!! Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean there’s nothing there… Do you really need that Lead apron at the Dentist???
So Pew are Sand Lance as important to the Atlantic as Silversides are to the Pacific???
The Mammal Act still protects them from harassment!!! Did they come up with a silencer for the Pile Drivers???
There’s going to be a pant load more traffic too!!!
Whales what Whales this is about control!!! Hey Max did you see that?
