Maine aunt turns tragedy into a mission for fishermen’s safety
After her family went through the loss of a family member in a fishing accident, Liz Michaud turned grief into action by founding a non-profit aimed at preventing similar tragedies among Maine fishermen. Michaud’s nephew, Tylar Michaud, went missing in July 2023 while hauling lobster traps alone. His body was found nearly a month later.
