Commercial fishing vessel runs aground in Hauraki Gulf, 27 on board

A commercial fishing vessel has run aground at The Noises, in the Hauraki Gulf. The Harbourmaster has confirmed the incident happened just before 3:45am. There are no reports of injury. The Police Eagle helicopter was at the scene. “There are 27 crew on board, and they are all safe. 77-foot fishing boat runs aground on Jersey Shore beach

Firefighters and emergency workers rescued three people from a 77-foot fishing boat that ran aground in Point Pleasant Beach early Friday, officials said. A fourth person was already out of the fishing vessel Susan Rose when firefighters and EMS arrived on the beach about three blocks south of the Manasquan Inlet, Point Pleasant Beach Fire Chief Ira Waldman said. New Bedford fishing boat runs aground in Sandwich

AR-160519773.jpg&MaxW=650&MaxH=650A 47-foot fishing boat grounded on Town Neck Beach on Thursday morning after a failure of its autopilot system, according to crew members. “It zigged when it should have zagged,” said Mitch, a crew member of the Capt. RM Chase, out of New Bedford, who declined to give his last name. The boat ran aground at about 7 a.m. Thursday after an autopilot error caused the boat to head straight onto the beach instead of turning, he said. Icicle vessel runs aground

s_topTEMP325x350-8230Icicle Seafoods’ The/Gordon Jensen struck rocks on Saturday and the U.S. Coast Guard had to escort the damaged vessel to Ketchikan for repairs. Coast Guard public relations Petty Officer Meredith Manning said Tuesday the cause of the incident is still under investigation and no injuries were reported. Four Fishermen Rescued near Cape Blanco as Vessel Runs Aground

A Coast Guard rescue swimmer swam 1,750 yards in 5-foot seas and 30-mph winds to rescue four people after their fishing vessel grounded near Cape Blanco, Tuesday morning. Petty Officer 2nd Class Darren Harrity, a 27-year-old native of Jupiter, Florida, individually pulled each fisherman more than 250 yards in 57 degree water from their life raft to shore, where they were met by EMS. Watchstanders at Coast Guard watch standers  received a report from the crew of Jamie K, a 52-foot commercial fishing vessel, via VHF-FM marine radio channel 16 at 1:40 a.m. stating that they were taking on water and had lost power. Abandoned Fishing vessel runs aground in Katmai National Park

KATMAI NATIONAL PARK AND PRESERVE, Alaska – The National Park Service says a fishing vessel abandoned after a fire last month has run aground at Katmai National Park. The park service said Saturday the Northern Pride was found between Cape Chiniak and Kaguyak Point along the Shelikof Strait. The 82-foot wooden vessel’s crew abandoned ship on April 21. Fishing boat runs aground near Ormond Beach; fuel tanks damaged
