The Observer Program. Expanded
August 14, 2014
The US Fishing industry is the most scrutinized industry in the Nation.
In another article today regarding the Mount Polley mine tailings pond dam breach, a fishermen’s representative laments,
“We have fleets of boats with observers or cameras watching our every move to fish sustainably, and nobody is watching these folks as they destroy our ecosystem,” said said Kim Olsen, president of the Unifor local representing fishermen and allied workers.
“Where has the BC Ministry of Environment been? Where has Environment Canada been? The oversight is pathetic.”
I would like to expand the conversation regarding oversight of the regulators, along with the outside influencers of Green Group Lobbyists, and the green group operatives planted into these agency’s by political appointees of the current administration.
During the past couple of weeks there have been some articles regarding the Big Green organizations activity’s steering policy decisions by the regulatory agencies, and lobbying interactions with our publicly elected government representatives, to sway them to support their radical Big Green idea’s, which has pointed towards over fishing and conservation.
They have hijacked the EPA, NOAA, Interior, the National Park Service, and others.
We have our elected official greeting these lobbyists with an open door policy, and I’m sure the contributions to political war chests would be shocking if we could actually track these interactions.
Which brings me to the point of this essay.
Its clear that this activity must have the same oversight that the fishing industry is moving towards. Electronic Monitoring.
All Senators and Representatives offices must be wired with cameras that cover all areas of the office, and the elected official must now be required to wear a device that will pinpoint exactly where they are, and monitor the activity when ever someone calls on that elected official.
All visitors from ENGO organizations will be required to wear a tracking/recording device that will document the nature of the visit, the discussion between that ENGO representative and our elected official, to include all activity between staffers and said ENGO visitors.
Any ENGO representative coming in contact with any Agency representative, i.e. EPA, NOAA, Interior, IRS, Commerce, etc. must be wearing a tracking/recording device that will document all interactions between the ENGO Representative, and government agency personnel.
Non compliance of the monitoring program will be subjected to fines that are equivalent to fishing entities that are fined thousands of dollars for infractions, and should include Congressional sanctions for the elected.
You get the idea.
Why, you may ask, would such extreme measures be needed?
In the past two weeks some telling articles have come to light regarding interactions between the party’s mentioned during this magical time of the most transparent administration in history, according to the Obama administration.
But, as some of us may learned in the past few days, although many of us already knew, this is far from the transparency the President rhetorically promised when he ran for the White House, and his administration showed its hand early.
Some of us tried to herald the emptiness of that promise as the scandalous NOAA Law Enforcement expose played out, while the busy work of the environmental groups with inside connection continued to pervert the New England fishing industry with privatization, as the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster became a diversion for the administration.
Fast-forward, July, 30, 2014, the Watts Up with That Blog posted this headline:
BREAKING: Senate report exposes the climate-environmental movement as being a cash machine controlling the EPA here – How a Club of Billionaires and Their Foundations Control the Environmental Movement and Obama’s EPA – A new report was released today by the Senate Environment and Public Works committee, and it is damning. All this time that climate skeptics are accused of being in the employ of “big oil” is nothing more than a projection of their own greed.
Ironic as it may seem, the enviro groups got their start from “big oil”.
Timing is everything, and leading up to this, a few other noteworthy articles were also released.
Rhode Island Seeks to Join Mid-Atlantic Council, but Politics are in Play, which describes the fishery ineffectiveness of the Rhode Island Delegation that is obviously under ENGO influence. Here
The hidden persuaders of the environmental elite, America’s environmental agenda is set by elite foundations that decide which activists get the money. And they form “affinity groups” to collude with President Obama’s bureaucracy, which funnels tax dollars to Democratic advocates to enforce that agenda. Here
Those are but only a couple of examples, but this article really cements the need for that promised transparency we expected to get.
The Inspectors Generals of every agency filed a letter to the Oversight, and Government Reform Committee.
Inspectors general say Obama aides obstruct investigations, Billions of tax dollars are being lost every day to waste, fraud and corruption in the federal government, but President Obama’s administration is blocking inspectors general — the officials who are most likely to find and expose such wrongdoing — from doing their jobs. That’s the disturbing message given to Congress and the American people this week from a majority of the federal government’s 78 IGs. The blocking occurs when agency lawyers deny the authority of IGs to gain access to relevant documents and officials.
The fishing industry is subjected to monitoring, Its time for an Observer Program to monitor Washington DC, our elected representatives, and those that are influencing them, and high time for real transparency.
