It was always a treat to sit with Tom and have a chat. He always asked how my son Jake was doing up in Alaska and was interested to hear of his adventures.
Tom was a unique person, the real deal and among the last of that type of Fisherman. He quietly went about his business of running his Fish Trap operation and then settled in to his Oyster operation in the
“Pond”. He was a very accomplished skiff builder that is a skill that he was always willing to share with others.
We were all better for knowing Tom and my trips to the docks will not be the same without him being there to chat with and sit in the truck for awhile.
We could all learn from his example as a Fisherman and as a good person.
I can only hope that Tom is in a better place and that our paths may cross again some day.
God bless you Tom, you fought until the end.
    Ed Everich
