Delegation, Mills Urge Commerce Secretary to Rescind Right Whale Rule and Protect Lobster Fishery

Following the U.S. District Court of Maine’s order blocking the Lobster Management Area (LMA) 1 restricted area closure, which is a component of the National Marine Fisheries Service’s flawed and unfair Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Rule, U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King, Representatives Chellie Pingree and Jared Golden, and Governor Janet Mills sent a letter to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. In their bipartisan letter, the Maine Delegation and Governor Mills applauded the U.S. District Court of Maine’s decision halting the enforcement of the LMA 1 closure and urged Secretary Raimondo to use her authorities to immediately resolve the rule’s many shortcomings. >click to read< 09:16

Expecting the federal government to do something that would help anyone who makes their living on the water is a fool’s errand. Unless of course you are seeking to destroy the ocean environment with wind mills.

When I read through the press release, and noticed this, “The Delegation also urged both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump to act on their pledges to protect lobstermen’s livelihoods, citing the lack of data to support claims that the lobster fishery presents an extreme risk to whales compared to other marine activities such as ship strikes.” First off, WTF has Joe Biden done to help the Maine lobstermen? Push irresponsible industrializing of the ocean? Trump had it on pause, and after the Fox “Blown Away” expose, where they never once used the word “Responsible” about the offshore wind farms. The best part of the film was when some fisherman walked past the camera, shot his fist in the air, proclaiming, “Fuck wind farms” He is my hero in the film, which should cause some people in groups to think about the usage of the word “responsible”, when describing this abhorrent political boondoggle.

BLOWN AWAY, where would we be getting our Power from for the next few Days if they were all installed??? They’d be totally useless actually they would be drawing power to keep the systems running on a Turbine that would self destruct if allowed to run free… Don’t let the Atlantic be known for something other than a Boat Grave Yard!!! She can be a real BITCH when she wants to!!!
    This is Oct 26 2021 start of a Nor’Easter!!!
