On This Day: January 8, 1999, Fishing boat Cape Fear sinks in Buzzards Bay

On this day in 1999, the 112-foot fishing boat Cape Fear sank a quarter mile from the light tower at the mouth of Buzzards Bay. Its captain and two crew members were rescued by the vessel’s sister ship, the Misty Dawn, but two other crew were presumed drowned in the frigid, 37-degree waters. click here to read the story What happened?
