Government Shutdown: Feds Try to Close the OCEAN Because of Shutdown

Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was “closed” due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park during the shutdown. more@breitbart  13:30

I thought they’ve been considering closing sections of the Florida Bay for a few months now, or is this a different section. Can anyone provide a source?

I know for a fact that the Pacific has been closed several times. It has been over fished and they have to let the fish population grow. Nothing nefarious, just good sense.

Wow. You really think they close the Pacific? They don’t “close” the Pacific; they put limits on catch quantities, which most other nations ignore.

In this case, the government is making Florida Bay a closed area for all activity, even water skiing.

They just want to make close stuff that has never been controlled before just to aggravate people so they can blame it on Republicans. It just like closing places that volunteers worked. I can’t believe how the Democrats will not talk on anything. It’s what they want and what anyone else wants is to bad.
