Of the three mariners reportedly aboard the commercial fishing vessel when it sank, one crewmember was rescued by a Good Samaritan vessel earlier and another was found deceased by rescue divers. The Coast Guard and local agencies are searching for two people in the water in Mobile Bay, Alabama, Friday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at approximately 5:00 a.m. of a capsized fishing vessel approximately five miles south of the entrance to Mobile Bay. A nearby Good Samaritan vessel rescued one passenger from the water in fair condition. Two passengers are still missing. >click to read< 12:33

Coast Guard, local agencies responding to boat fire near Santa Cruz Island, 33 people aboard the vessel are unaccounted for.

SAN PEDRO, Calif – Coast Guard and partner agencies are responding to a vessel fire near Santa Cruz Island Monday. At approximately 3:15 a.m., Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach watchstanders overheard a mayday call via channel 16 of an engulfed 75-foot commercial diving vessel with 38 people aboard. Crews from the Coast Guard, Santa Barbara Fire Department, Ventura County Fire Department and Vessel Assist responded. UPDATE: Coast Guard, local agencies recovered the body of missing lobsterman Scott Chandler

Coast Guard and local agencies recovered the body of the missing lobersterman Tuesday off Doyle Island, Maine. At approximately 5 p.m., Maine State Police and Maine Warden Service divers recovered the lobsterman about 200 yards west from where he entered the water. Crews searched 233 square nautical miles. Station Jonesport took lobster boat, Marie Louise II, to their station for further investigation. >click to read<19:34

Coast Guard, local agencies search for missing lobsterman off Jonesport, Maine

The Coast Guard and local agencies are searching for a person in the water Tuesday near Doyle Island, Maine. A good Samaritan reported to watchstanders at Sector Northern New England that he saw a person falling into the water from a 20-foot commercial lobster boat operating in the vicinity of Doyle Island. Mariners are advised to exercise caution when operating in the area. Pensacola Bay – Coast Guard, local agencies respond to vessel fire and spilt diesel

Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a notification of a 50-foot commercial fishing vessel catching fire while moored at Joe Patti’s Marina in Pensacola Bay at 4:26 p.m. Pensacola Fire Department extinguished the fire but the vessel sank and discharged an estimated 100 gallons of diesel into the water. Seatow deployed containment boom and sorbent pads around the vessel to collect oil. A vacuum truck and skimmer are en route to begin operations Saturday morning.
