DOCUMENTARY ON THE WAY EXPOSING THE ILLEGAL SINKING OF THE 110’ MV WILD ALASKAN AND COAST GUARD MISCONDUCT

Darren Byler of Kodiak Alaska has been fighting the local Coast Guard Station for almost a decade now for what Byler calls a “Politically Motivated Fraud Filled Phony Poopy Conviction that the United States Government has now spent approximately 1.3 million Dollars to date investigating, prosecuting and defending against Byler’s civil claims. Byler filed a 10 million dollar civil lawsuit against the United States Coast Guard approximately two years ago and is still fighting the government for the opportunity to have a civil trial.

Byler also filed a lawsuit against the City of Kodiak for the illegal sinking of the 110′ Wild Alaskan, an ex-Bering Sea Crabber, modified into a long-range exploration, charter and entertainment vessel. Byler claims he became a target at the same time by both the Coast Guard and City of Kodiak Officials in 2014 for opening an Adult Entertainment Charter featuring topless showgirls’ while anchored in the Kodiak Channel on state waters. Both lawsuits against what Byler calls “colluding, corrupt, bad actors” are still pending in federal court.

As an investigative reporter for Maritime Justice, I have thoroughly reviewed Byler’s evidence which includes the City of Kodiak and the U.S. Coast Guard’s own documentation and federal court transcripts. The evidence clearly suggests felony fraud and perjury.  After reviewing documents, audio, and video recordings produced by the defendants themselves. I must say that the evidence Byler has presented to me, as well as to the public on the ‘Sinking of the Wild Alaskan Facebook page is quite compelling and convincing. This includes Bylers claims of fraud by City of Kodiak Officials, and Kodiak Coast Guard Agents.

The Wild Alaskan Story has now caught the attention of internationally acclaimed Producer and Cinematographer Doug Stanley founding Producer and Director of Photography of Discovery Channel’s hit series “Deadliest Catch”. Doug Stanley has garnered eight Prime Time Emmy nominations and been honored to receive two. Stanleys career in television spans nearly three decades and more than 100 shows which includes: National News, Crime TV, Music Events, NASCAR, and a wide variety of Reality, Documentary, and Non-Fiction Series which is Stanleys true passion. “I am essentially a story teller that loves to see the story pass through the lens”, says Stanley.

“Doug and his partner, Producer Charlene Taylor have done excellent job creating a sizzle reel portraying and promoting our real-life true story of government fraud, harassment and overreach that has led to enormous hardships that took place in Kodiak, Alaska,” says Byler. The Sizzle Reel is a professionally produced advertisement for a 4.5 hour, three-part docu-series and more than likely a movie that are both on the horizon for the Byler’s and Stanley as the Wild Alaskan story will be told in detail on the silver screen with a large budget and paid actors playing the roles of the Bylers and all involved in what Byler calls  “the Biggest Sham in Kodiak History”

I will continue to follow this story as it progresses. Darren Byler also has a Facebook page called, “The Sinking of the Wild Alaskan” where for the last two years Byler has continually posted updates with great detail including documents, audio, and video recordings that more than justify Bylers campaign for Justice.
