The Coast Guard completed the medevac of an ailing man from a commercial fishing vessel 480 miles offshore Honolulu Friday. Coast Guard medevacs man from boat 45 miles west of Anna Maria Island
Coast Guard crews medevaced a 51-year-old man from a fishing boat 45 miles west of Anna Maria Island on Friday. An Air Station Clearwater aircrew and a Station St. Petersburg boat crew coordinated the medevac. The man was transported via the aircrew to Tampa General Hospital for further medical care. At 12:23 p.m. Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders received a call from the owner of the commercial fishing boat, Team Galati, reporting a crew member had suffered chest pains and was in need of medical attention. “The teamwork of the captain of the distressed vessel, along with our partners at Air Station Clearwater were paramount in ensuring the patient was able to access a higher level of care,” said Petty Officer 2nd Class Nick Jennings, a crew member from Station St. Petersburg’s 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boat crew. 06:45

The Coast Guard medevaced a 60-year-old man from a fishing vessel Sunday near Grand Isle, Louisiana. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call on Channel 16 at 3:06 a.m. from the fishing vessel Elvidlong requesting a medevac for a crewmember aboard who sustained injuries to one of his hands. Sector New Orleans watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Station Grand Isle Response Boat – Medium boat crew to assist. Coast Guard medevacs man from fishing vessel near Dutch Harbor, Alaska
A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak aircrew, forward deployed to Cold Bay, medically evacuated a mariner from a fishing vessel near Dutch Harbor, Tuesday morning. The MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew hoisted the 47-year-old man from the 310-foot fishing vessel F/V Northern Eagle and transported him back to Cold Bay for a wing-to-wing transfer with LifeMed Alaska personnel. Watchstanders at the Coast Guard 17th District command center, in Juneau, received the initial request for the medevac Tuesday at 5:55 a.m. from the vessel’s crew that a fellow crew member had injured his right hand. >click to read< 20:52

The Coast Guard medevaced a 55 year-old-male crewmember from a commercial fishing vessel 11 miles south of Buras, Louisiana, Saturday. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call at 8:35 p.m. from the commercial fishing vessel F/V Fatima Rose that a crewman was having trouble breathing. Coast Guard aircrew medevacs man from fishing vessel off New Jersey coast
The Coast Guard medevaced a 46-year-old man from the fishing vessel F/V Captain John Wednesday approximately 45 miles east of Point Pleasant. Another crewmember aboard the Captain John used a marine radio to notify Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders of the medical emergency at about 5:30 p.m. The man was safely medevaced at about 6:30 p.m. and taken to Air Station Atlantic City where his care was transferred to awaiting emergency medical services personnel. -USCG- 07:40

U.S. Coast Guard 13th District PA Detachment Astoria – A Coast Guard aircrew medically evacuated a 28-year-old man Friday morning off the fishing vessel ‘Alaska Ocean,’ which was operating 15-miles west of Coos Bay. A Coast Guard Sector North Bend aircrew hoisted the man after he experienced chest pains and seasickness. Watchstanders at the 13th Coast Guard District Command Center were notified at 3:15 a.m. by the company who owns the fishing vessel that the man was suffering medical issues. Coast Guard Motor Life Boat crew medevacs man from F/V American Triumph off Coos Bay, Ore.
The American Triumph, a 285-foot commercial fishing and processing vessel, contacted the Coast Guard at approximately 3:30 p.m. to request a medevac of a 37-year-old male crewmember. Coast Guard Sector North Bend, Ore., dispatched a 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Coast Guard Station Coos Bay. An EMT from a Bay City ambulance accompanied the crew to assist. more@uscgnews 13:23
