A century ago in Barnegat Light, a group of Norwegian fishermen formed a business that today is a beacon of successful, responsible entrepreneurship. Join Karter Larson for a look at the history of Viking Village at the Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. The program, which kicks off the Friends of the Stafford Library’s monthly adventure series for 2025, will shed light on the local fishing industry and the way it adapts to ongoing environmental changes to support ecology and economics.
