President Trump! About our great Fishermen, our great Farmers and tariffs

President Trump, as we sit here listening to your arena chat with another strong crowd of support tonight (9-16-2019) in New Mexico, you once again brought up the nations farmers, I’d like to mention another group of outstanding, and hard working Americans, U.S. Commercial Fishermen, of whom many are your supporters that have been standing with you on the trade war. We have heard the praise of the Miners, and the Farmers, and its time for you to praise the Fishermen. >click to read< 11:31

Well said and spot on. As usual Fishery Nation leads the way. I hope the fishermen and related industries who come to this site realize how much time and effort you put in to bring to light the many issues they face.
As I sometimes look at other fisheries related sites I have come to realize the two faced nature of their words. While many claim to be supportive of this industry, they seem to be getting a bit to cozy with many of those who are aligned against it.
Read between the lines and realize who is actually fighting on our behalf. When I open this web site I have no doubt as to who you represent. And for that my appreciation goes beyond words.
Thank you Fisherynation.com for all that you have done over the years and continue to do for our industry, our heritage and our communities!

Thank you, Joel. Carol and I were talking about our journey, and where it started, and why. We all met in Gloucester when Fox came to town to look into the regulatory quagmire the Obama Administration created with his cabinet choices. Like Jane Lubchencho. A tool whom he claimed knew more about carbon pollution than any other human being!
We’ve stood with the shrinking masses of independent commercial fishermen, even being mocked because we do. By others in the industry.
The people we met, inspired. Its made it all worth it.

Worth it you say? Well I guess from a personal satisfaction point of view you can make this claim. However, from my point of view, what you have done and continue to do for this industry, and what little support you receive from the people you have stood behind is an embarrassment.
You are taken for granted way to much my friend and when this resource is no longer available to people because of your lack of support, then and only then will the true meaning of your efforts over the years be realized and understood.
I hate to think of what it will be like to not have this awesome resource at our finger tips. I assume your competitors can’t wait. Just as the battle against commercial fishing has become a war of attrition, so too is the battle you face against the others on the web who claim to be on the side of the independent small businessman, who see you as their adversary instead of a brother in arms.
It’s sad it’s come to this. As an old friend once said to me…”We have met the enemy and they are us”
