The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 63-year-old male off the fishing vessel F/V New Huck Finn approximately 23 miles southwest of Point Reyes, Friday. Coast Guard medevacs fisherman near Venice, Louisiana
The Coast Guard medevaced a 55-year-old man Sunday from a fishing vessel approximately 10 miles east of Venice, Louisiana. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a call at approximately 4:00 p.m. that a crewmember aboard the fishing vessel F/V Thanh Nhut Li had reportedly sustained severe injuries to the leg. The watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew to assist. The helicopter aircrew arrived on scene, hoisted the patient and transported him to University Medical Center in New Orleans. The crewmember was last reported in stable condition. -USCG- >Video<

Video: Air Station Cape Cod medevacs fisherman experiencing diabetic related conditions
The Coast Guard medevaced a fisherman from a fishing vessel 130 miles east of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Sunday. Coast Guard First District watchstanders received a report from the 65 foot fishing vessel Direction of a crewmember who was experiencing diabetic related conditions, and was requesting assistance. A Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew was launched and safely hoisted the fisherman. The Coast Guard medevaced an injured fisherman 160 miles east of Boston, Thursday. At approximately 3:30 a.m., Coast Guard District One watchstanders received a notification from the crew of the 72-foot commercial fishing vessel Jennifer Anne, reporting a 35-year-old crewmember had fallen overboard and was recovered by the other crew members. The Coast Guard medevaced a man from a fishing vessel Tuesday approximately 100 miles northwest of Cold Bay. An Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted the man at 6:55 a.m. and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services in Cold Bay for further transport to Anchorage. Coast Guard aircrews medevaced a man from a fishing vessel 322 nautical miles northwest of St. Paul Island, Alaska, Wednesday. The 45-year-old man was safely hoisted at 12:12 p.m. and taken to St. Paul for a wing-to-wing transfer with a commercial medevac company for further transport to Anchorage. At 11:48 p.m., Tuesday, District 17 Command Center watchstanders received a medevac request for a fisherman reportedly experiencing gastrointestinal bleeding aboard the 170-foot fishing vessel Baranof. Coast Guard medevacs Fisherman 131 miles west of Venice
The Coast Guard medevaced a man with a reported moray eel bite from a fishing vessel 131 miles west of Venice, Florida Sunday. A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew responded to the call and safely transported the 23-year-old man to Tampa General Hospital in stable condition. Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders received a mayday call at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday from the captain of the fishing vessel Miss Gail. Coast Guard medevacs fisherman near Winyah Bay, Wednesday
A Coast Guard Station Georgetown 45-foot Response Boat–Medium crew embarked the man and conducted a hoist with a Coast Guard Air Facility Charleston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew who safely transported the man to Georgetown Memorial Hospital for further medical care. Coast Guard Sector Charleston command center watchstanders received a medevac request at 8:20 p.m. via VHF-Channel 16 from the operator of the Lillie Jane, a 65-foot fishing vessel, reporting a crew member had fallen and suffered a head injury. The RB-M crew and Dolphin aircrew were in the area conducting training and diverted to assist. Once on scene, the RB-M crew embarked the man, and the Dolphin aircrew safely conducted the hoist. -USCG- 14:19

The Coast Guard medevaced a mariner from a fishing vessel approximately two miles offshore Matagorda Bay near Port O’Connor, Texas, Sunday morning. The Matagorda County Sheriff’s Office received a request from a fishing vessel, F/V Lady Nora, for a medevac of a 52-year-old male crewmember experiencing symptoms of a heart attack. The Coast Guard medevaced a man from a fishing vessel approximately 46 miles southwest of Saint Paul, Monday. An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Kodiak safely hoisted the 43-year-old man at 2:56 p.m. and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel in Saint Paul for further transport to Anchorage. The Coast Guard medevaced a 46-year-old man Friday from a fishing vessel near the St. Augustine Inlet. A Coast Guard Air Station Savannah MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew hoisted and transported the man to Flagler Hospital. Coast Guard medevacs fisherman 20 miles north of Kodiak
A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew medevaced a male crewmember from a fishing vessel in Duck Bay, near Kodiak, Alaska, Wednesday. The Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted the crewmember from the fishing vessel Nordic Cross and transported him to Kodiak where he was transferred to awaiting emergency medical services personnel. Coast Guard medevacs fisherman off Hampton Harbor, NH
A Coast Guard Station Merrimack River boat crew medevaced a fisherman Friday evening, 6 miles east of Hampton Harbor, New Hampshire. A crewmember aboard the fishing boat Patricia Lynn radioed the Coast Guard for assistance at around 6:45 p.m., stating another crewmember was experiencing symptoms characteristic of a heart attack. A Coast Guard Station Merrimack River 29-foot rescue boat crew heard the call while underway in the area and diverted to assist. The Coast Guard crew took the 30-year-old-man on their boat and brought him to Hampton Harbor State Pier where emergency medical services personnel were waiting. –USCG– 08:13

The Coast Guard medevaced a fisherman suffering chest pains approximately five-miles off Manasquan Inlet, New Jersey, today. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay were notified via radio, of a 49-year old man aboard a fishing boat, F/V Miss AM, who was reportedly suffering shortness of breath and chest pains at 2:30 p.m. A Coast Guard 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew from Station Manasquan Inlet responded, took the man aboard and brought him to awaiting emergency medical services at Station Manasquan Inlet. –USCG– 17:53
Coast Guard medevacs fisherman 14 miles southwest of Cape Lookout, NC
Station Fort Macon personnel medevaced a man Sunday night aboard a fishing vessel 14 miles southwest of Cape Lookout. Sector North Carolina watchstanders received a call from the crew of the fishing vessel Lady Catherine requesting a medevac of a 54-year-old crew member reporting chest pains.Station Fort Macon launched a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew with two Atlantic Beach Fire and Rescue EMTs aboard. The crew met the vessel inbound to Station Fort Macon but were unable to transfer the patient due to rough seas. A Station Fort Macon crew member and two Atlantic Beach Fire and Rescue EMTs then boarded the Lady Catherine to give medical assistance. The Lady Catherine moored at Station Fort Macon, and Atlantic Beach Fire and Rescue EMT personnel transported the patient to Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City. –USCG– 13:51
Coast Guard medevacs fisherman from fishing vessel south of Long Island
Coast Guard crews medevaced a man from a fishing vessel 30-miles south of Shinnecock Inlet, New York, Monday evening. Crewmembers aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Shrike, an 87-foot patrol boat, were notified around 8:00 p.m., that a 34-year old man aboard a nearby fishing vessel, the Cameron Scott, had suffered a head injury after he was struck with a heavy cable earlier in the day. The Shrike launched their cutter smallboat with two Coast Guard EMS-trained personnel aboard. They arrived on scene at approximately 8:30 p.m., and boarded the Cameron Scott to render assistance. Watchstanders at Sector Long Island Sound also launched a Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew to assist. At approximately 10:00 p.m., the aircrew arrived on scene, hoisted the injured man, and transported him to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for further care. Coast Guard medevacs fisherman 50-miles off Atlantic City, N.J.
The Coast Guard medevacced a fisherman who was reportedly suffering stroke-like symptoms approximately 50-miles off the coast of New Jersey, Tuesday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay were notified that a fisherman aboard the 90-foot scallop boat Frank & Maria needed medical attention. An MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew was dispatched from Air Station Atlantic City and arrived on-scene and hoisted the man at approximately 8:40 a.m. Coast Guard rescuers brought the man to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center for medical attention. Coast Guard medevacs skipper suffering from chest pains 55 miles east of Gloucester, Mass.
A Coast Guard aircrew medevaced a 55-year-old man suffering from chest pains Sunday evening 55 miles east of Gloucester. Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Boston received a report at around 6:30 p.m. that the master of the 75-foot fishing vessel America, homeported in Boston, was ill and in need of medical attention. An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod and a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Gloucester launched to assist. The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Tahoma, a 270-foot medium endurance cutter, was also diverted and assisted by relaying communications. Once the aircrew arrived, they hoisted the man and flew him to Massachusetts General Hospital. The seas were 3 to 5 feet and the winds were 25 knots at the time of the hoist. The air temperature was 26 degrees and the water temperature was 40 degrees. The man was reported to be conscious at the time of the transfer. Link 07:36
Coast Guard medevacs fisherman near Cold Bay, Alaska
A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew medevaced a man from the 252-foot fishing vessel Kodiak Enterprise approximately 40 miles north of Cold Bay, Alaska, Friday afternoon. The rescue helicopter crew transported the 55-year-old fisherman to Cold Bay and were met by LifeMed Alaska personnel who transferred the patient to Anchorage for further medical care. Watchstanders at Coast Guard 17th District in Juneau received notification from Health Force Partners requesting a medevac for a crewmember who was reportedly suffering from an abdominal medical condition. The duty flight surgeon recommended the medevac and the helicopter crew was dispatched from Dutch Harbor. Weather on scene during the time of the medevac was reported as 15-mph winds with 3-foot seas and 10 miles of visibility. Link 13:14
Coast Guard medevacs man off fishing vessel near Hatteras, NC
The Coast Guard medevaced a man Tuesday off a fishing vessel in the Pamlico Sound near Hatteras. Sector North Carolina watchstanders were notified at approximately 9:15 p.m. Tuesday a man aboard the fishing vessel Jane Carolyn, was reportedly unconscious and would not awaken. A Coast Guard 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Hatteras Inlet launched at approximately 10:00 p.m. and arrived on scene at approximately 10:40 p.m. The crew medevaced and transferred the man to Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head for further medical attention. “We were glad the crew was able to arrive quickly to the fishing vessel,” said Craig Sanders, operations unit controller at Sector North Carolina. “We value the training of our crews to respond quickly to these situations.” Link 12:51
Coast Guard medevacs fisherman after dogfish bite off Gloucester
A Coast Guard rescue crew medevaced a fisherman Tuesday morning after he was bitten on the arm by a dogfish 16 miles east of Cape Ann. At about 10 a.m. watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Boston’s command center received a VHF-16 radio call from the captain of the 26-foot fishing boat Miss Molly reporting he had been bitten by a dogfish while fishing alone. A 29-foot rescue boat crew from Station Gloucester, along with two Gloucester Fire Department emergency medical services personnel, launched to assist and arrived on scene at 10:45 a.m. After arriving on scene the crew took the patient aboard their boat where he was given medical treatment. He was then transported back to Station Gloucester and passed to an awaiting ambulance at around 11:15 a.m. The patient was reported to be in stable condition and was expected to be transported to Cape Ann Medical Center for further treatment. A Coast Guard aircrew medevaced a fisherman who had reportedly suffered a seizure aboard the fishing vessel Hecate, about 9 miles west of Winchester Bay, Thursday morning. An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station North Bend safely hoisted the man at about 11 a.m. and transferred him to waiting EMS at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in stable condition. A Coast Guard 45-foot motor lifeboat crew from Station Eastport medevaced a man from the 35-foot fishing vessel 
Monday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Northern New England’s command center received a call via VHF-16 radio at 4:20 p.m. from the captain of the Latta II reporting one of his crewmembers had sustained injuries to his left hand while operating a winch. A 45-foot motor lifeboat crew from Station Eastport launched and arrived on scene at 4:49 p.m. and took the man aboard. Read the report here 13:14

The Coast Guard medevaced a fisherman Wednesday approximately 37 miles east of Manasquan Inlet, New Jersey. Crew members from the 45-foot fishing boat Vengeance notified watch standers at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay on VHF marine radio channel 16 at 9:27 a.m., stating one of their crew members was experiencing seizure-like symptoms. The Coast Guard medevaced a man Monday who experienced chest pains while on a fishing boat approximately 10 miles northeast of Wachapreague. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads in Portsmouth received a report at about 3:50 p.m. of a 42-year-old male crewmember experiencing chest pains aboard the 81-foot fishing boat Southern Crusader II approximately five miles northeast of Wachapreague Inlet. The helicopter crew, forward-deployed to Cordova for the summer season, was conducting a routine patrol when Coast Guard Sector Anchorage command center watchstanders received the medevac request from the crew of the Ruth M, and diverted the aircrew to the ship’s location. more@uscgnews
