Northeast fisheries chief’s credo: ‘Take the heat. … Move on’
John Bullard recalls sitting on a sailboat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean when “the light bulb went off.” Just out of college, he had set off to sail around the world by hitching free rides wherever he could get them. But a message in community organizer Saul Alinsky’s 1971 book “Rules for Radicals” stopped him short: If you want to change the world, go home. So he did.
