Sussex waterman nabbed for mutiple crabbing violations – cops a plea
Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police arrested a Sussex County man May 19 for multiple commercial crabbing violations on the Inland Bays, officials announced in a release. John L. Fabryka, 53, of Ocean View, was charged with one count of unlawful commercial crabbing in a non-commercial area, 10 counts of tending more than two recreational crab pots, 10 counts of improperly marked recreational crab pots and six counts of failure to tend recreational crab pots at least once within required 72-hour timeframe, according to the release. Dover man arrested on 93 count’s in illegal crab fishing case by Fish & Wildlife police
Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police arrested a Dover waterman Dec. 12 on 93 charges related to commercial crabbing activities in the Delaware Bay near Port Mahon. Richard Hand Jr., 38, of Dover, was charged with 20 counts each for: crabbing without a commercial crab pot license, crabbing during pot closure season, crabbing from a vessel not associated with the operator’s commercial license number and crabbing from a vessel not displaying the required color panel matching the commercial operator’s markers. Commercial conch waterman arrested for felony tampering, reckless endangering, numerous fisheries charges
NEAR BOWERS BEACH, Del. (July 28, 2015) – DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers arrested a New Jersey-based, Delaware-licensed commercial waterman July 24 on numerous fisheries-related charges and a felony after he tried to evade a fisheries compliance boarding on Delaware Bay and steered his vessel away and into the path of a police boat.
